Load a Private Key from a PKCS #8 File
See more Private Key Examples
Demonstrates the Chilkat PrivateKey.LoadPkcs8File method, which loads a private key from a file. The only argument is the file path. Despite the name, it accepts any supported unencrypted private-key representation, not only PKCS #8.
Note: The file path is relative to the application's current working directory. Absolute paths may also be used. Supply the path to your own key file.
Background: PKCS #8 is the modern standard container for a private key of any algorithm (RSA, EC, Ed25519), in DER (binary) or PEM. This method reads the unencrypted form and, helpfully, inspects the content so it also loads other unencrypted representations that happen to be in the file. For an encrypted PKCS #8 file, use
