Demonstrates how to append text data as a file within a zip archive. Perl

use chilkat();

$success = 0;

#  This example assumes the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked.

$zip = chilkat::CkZip->new();

$zipPath = "c:/temp/test.zip";

#  Initialize the zip object, which also sets the FileName property to the path of the zip to be created.
$zip->NewZip($zipPath);

#  Append a file that will contain the string "Hello World";
$fileContent = "Hello World";
$pathInZip = "txtFiles/helloWorld.txt";
$zip->AddString($pathInZip,$fileContent,"utf-8");

$zip->put_FileName($zipPath);
$success = $zip->WriteZipAndClose();
if ($success == 0) {
    print $zip->lastErrorText() . "\r\n";
    exit;
}
