Upload a File to an FTP Server

Demonstrates the Chilkat Ftp2.PutFile method, which uploads a local file to a remote path. The first argument is the local file path and the second is the remote file path.

Note: The local paths are relative to the application's current working directory. Absolute paths may also be used. Supply the paths appropriate to your own environment.

Background: The upload counterpart to GetFile, using the FTP STOR command, which creates a missing remote file or truncates and replaces an existing one. Chilkat does not create missing remote directories, so CreateRemoteDir the path first if needed. As with downloads, choose the transfer type deliberately. Chilkat defaults to binary, and binary is the recommended choice for essentially every file — including text. The alternative, SetTypeAscii, applies CRLF line-ending translation: a legacy behavior that is rarely wanted today and that silently corrupts binary files. Because binary is the default, no call is needed to use it; SetTypeBinary is available to set it explicitly (for example after a prior SetTypeAscii), but is otherwise unnecessary.
