*  This example assumes the Chilkat API to have been previously unlocked.
*  See Global Unlock Sample for sample code.

loZip = CreateObject('Chilkat.Zip')

lcZipPath = "c:/temp/test.zip"

*  Initialize the zip object, which also sets the FileName property to the path of the zip to be created.
loZip.NewZip(lcZipPath)

*  AddEmpty is used when you wish to add a directory or empty file to the zip
*  such that when the zip is unzipped, the directory will be created
*  even if it contains no files.

lnDirFlag = 1

loZip.AddEmpty(lnDirFlag,"dirA")
loZip.AddEmpty(lnDirFlag,"dirB")
loZip.AddEmpty(lnDirFlag,"dirC")

*  Write the zip, which contains 3 empty directories: dirA, dirB, dirC.
loZip.FileName = lcZipPath
lnSuccess = loZip.WriteZipAndClose()
IF (lnSuccess = 0) THEN
    ? loZip.LastErrorText
    RELEASE loZip
    CANCEL
