Fetch One POP3 Message by Message Number
See more POP3 Examples
Demonstrates the Chilkat MailMan.FetchOne method, which retrieves one message by POP3 message number and stores it in an Email object. The arguments are headerOnly, numBodyLines, the message number (the first message is 1), and the Email. The message remains on the server. This example fetches message 1 in full.
Background: POP3 message numbers are simple 1-based positions valid only for the current session.
FetchOne is the way to pull a single message straight into an Email object (rather than a bundle) when you know its position — for example after listing the mailbox. Because numbers can shift between sessions, FetchByUidl is the stabler choice when a message must be identified reliably over time.Chilkat DataFlex Downloads
