    // Starting in Chilkat v9.5.0.77, the following notations are possible to specify that the value
    // should be appended to the end of the array. (In other words, if the array currenty has N elements, then "-1", "", or "*" 
    // indicate an index of N+1.

    CkJsonObject json = new CkJsonObject();

    json.UpdateInt("lanes[-1]",0);
    json.UpdateInt("lanes[]",1);
    json.UpdateInt("lanes[*]",2);
    json.UpdateInt("lanes[-1]",3);

    System.out.println(json.emit());
