   <book ISBN="10-000000-001">

#include <CkXml.h>

void ChilkatSample(void)
    {

    CkXml xml;

    bool success;

    success = xml.LoadXmlFile("bookstore.xml");
    if (success != true) {
        printf("%s\n",xml.lastErrorText());
        return;
    }

    // Navigate to the 1st child (i.e. the "book" node)
    xml.FirstChild2();

    //  Now access the attribute:
    const char * attrValue;

    attrValue = xml.getAttrValue("ISBN");

    printf("%s\n",attrValue);

    }
