Create a VB.NET Project and Add a Reference

Create a new VB.NET project and add a reference to the Chilkat .NET DLL. (If installed with default options, the Chilkat .NET DLL is found at C:\Program Files\Chilkat Software Inc\Chilkat.Net\ChilkatDotNet.dll)

A. To add a reference, right-click "References" in the Solution Explorer window and select "Add Reference".

B. Select "Browse".

C. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Chilkat Software Inc\Chilkat.Net and select ChilkatDotNet.dll.

D. Your solution explorer should now display ChilkatDotNet as being referenced. You can now begin using the Chilkat classes, which are contained in the "Chilkat" namespace. Proceed to Step3.
