Send MHTML EmailSimple example to send MHTML email. If you have a .mht file, this example show how to send it as an email. MHTML stands for MIME HTML (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension HTML). It is a standard for including resources that in usual HTTP pages are linked externally, such as images and sound files, in the same file as the HTML code, based on RFC 2557. The included data files are encoded using MIME. This format is sometimes referred to as MHT, after the suffix .mht given to such files by default when created by Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer or Opera. Downloads for Windows/Linux and Install Instructions require 'rubygems' require 'chilkat' # The mailman object is used for sending and receiving email. mailman = Chilkat::CkMailMan.new() # Any string argument automatically begins the 30-day trial. success = mailman.UnlockComponent("30-day trial") if (success != true) print "Component unlock failed" + "\n" exit end # Set the SMTP server. mailman.put_SmtpHost("mail.chilkatsoft.com") # You may or may not need SMTP authentication -- it depends # on your SMTP server... mailman.put_SmtpUsername("mylogin") mailman.put_SmtpPassword("mypassword") # Create a new email object email = Chilkat::CkEmail.new() # Note: .mht files are MIME, and are really no different # than .eml. The only difference is the file extension # and the intended use. You can load any .mht into # an email object by calling LoadEml: success = email.LoadEml("myMhtml.mht") if (success != true) print email.lastErrorText() + "\n" exit end # To complete the email, add a subject, From address, # and recipients... email.put_Subject("This is an MHTML email test") email.put_From("Chilkat <admin@chilkatsoft.com>") email.AddTo("Chilkat Support","support@chilkatsoft.com") # Send the MHTML mail. success = mailman.SendEmail(email) if (success != true) print mailman.lastErrorText() + "\n" else print "Mail Sent!" + "\n" end |
