Upload Multiple Files Matching Pattern

The MPutFiles method can be called to upload all files matching a wildcarded filename pattern from a local filesystem directory.

Download Chilkat Ruby Library

require 'chilkat'

ftp = Chilkat::CkFtp2.new()

# Any string unlocks the component for the 1st 30-days.
success = ftp.UnlockComponent("Anything for 30-day trial")
if (success != true)
    print ftp.lastErrorText() + "\n"
    exit
end

ftp.put_Hostname("ftp.chilkatsoft.com")
ftp.put_Username("my_login")
ftp.put_Password("my_password")

# Connect and login to the FTP server.
success = ftp.Connect()
if (success != true)
    print ftp.lastErrorText() + "\n"
    exit
end

# Change to the remote directory where the files will be uploaded.
#  for the FTP account.
success = ftp.ChangeRemoteDir("junk")
if (success != true)
    print ftp.lastErrorText() + "\n"
    exit
end

# Upload all files with filenames matching "c:/temp/ftp_*.asp"
numFilesUploaded = ftp.MPutFiles("c:/temp/ftp_*.asp")
if (numFilesUploaded < 0)
    print ftp.lastErrorText() + "\n"
    exit
end

ftp.Disconnect()

print numFilesUploaded.to_s() + " Files Uploaded!" + "\n";
