Determine if Service is Running

Determine if a Windows service is currently running.

service = chilkat.CkService()

service.put_ServiceName("MyService")

#  returns -1 for failure (inability to check)
#  returns 1 if running.
#  returns 0 if not running.

retval = service.IsRunning()
if (retval < 0):
    print "Failed to query service control manager"
else:
    if (retval == 1):
        print "Service is running"
    else:
        print "Service is not running"
