Decode Binary MIME Content

Decode the binary content in a MIME message.

 Chilkat Python Module Downloads for Windows, Linux, and MAC OS X

import sys
import chilkat

mime = chilkat.CkMime()

success = mime.UnlockComponent("Anything for 30-day trial")
if (success == False):
    print "Failed to unlock component"
    sys.exit()

success = mime.LoadMimeFile("mm7.txt")
if (success == False):
    print mime.lastErrorText()
    sys.exit()

#  This particular MIME message has a top-level multipart/mixed
#  with 2 immediate children:
#  Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
#  Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
# within the multipart/mixed child, two additional children exist:
#  content-type: application/smil; name=main.smil; charset=utf-8
#  content-type: image/jpeg; name=kl20.jpg

# This example will save the JPG sub-part:
#  (indexing begins at 0)
mimePart = mime.GetPart(1)
jpgPart = mimePart.GetPart(1)

# Save the decoded body to a file.
# The "Name" property contains "kl20.jpg"
success = jpgPart.SaveBody(jpgPart.name())
if (success == False):
    print jpgPart.lastErrorText()

    sys.exit()

print "Success!"
