List Windows Current User Certificates

Demonstrates how to open the registry-based Current User certificate store on a Windows OS and list the digital certificates.

Download Chilkat Python Library

import chilkat

# This example demonstrates how to list the certificates
# in the logged-on user's registry-based Current User Certificate Store.

# This is our certificate store factory object:
ccs = chilkat.CkCreateCS()
ccs.put_ReadOnly(True)

# Open the current-user certificate store:

cs = ccs.OpenCurrentUserStore()

if (not (cs == None )):

    numCerts = cs.get_NumCertificates()

    # Print the distinguished name of each certificate
    for i in range(0,numCerts):
        cert = cs.GetCertificate(i)
        print cert.subjectDN()

else:
    print ccs.lastErrorText()

# The Chilkat Certificate, Certificate Store, Private Key,
# Public Key, and Key Container classes / objects are freeware.

# They are used by and included with the Chilkat Email,
# Crypt, S/MIME, and other commercial Chilkat components.
