Sort Email by DateRead a POP3 mailbox and sort by Date. The POP3 protocol does not provide the ability to download emails within a date range. However, once emails are downloaded, they may be sorted by date using the Chilkat email bundle object.
<?php // The mailman object is used for receiving (POP3) // and sending (SMTP) email. $mailman = new COM("Chilkat.MailMan2"); // Any string argument automatically begins the 30-day trial. $success = $mailman->UnlockComponent('30-day trial'); if ($success != true) { print 'Component unlock failed' . "\n"; exit; } // Set the POP3 server's hostname $mailman->MailHost = 'mail.chilkatsoft.com'; // Set the POP3 login/password. $mailman->PopUsername = 'matt@chilkatsoft.com'; $mailman->PopPassword = '****'; // Copy the all email from the user's POP3 mailbox // into a bundle object. The email remains on the server. // You may copy full emails, or headers-only. Call CopyMail // to copy full emails. Call GetAllHeaders to copy email headers. // bundle = mailman.CopyMail(); $numBodyLines = 1; $bundle = $mailman->GetAllHeaders($numBodyLines); if (is_null($bundle)) { print $mailman->lastErrorText() . "\n"; exit; } // Sort the email in the bundle by date. $ascending = true; $bundle->SortByDate($ascending); for ($i = 0; $i <= $bundle->MessageCount - 1; $i++) { $email = $bundle->GetEmail($i); print $email->getHeaderField('Date') . "\n"; } ?> |
