Determine if Service is Running

Determine if a Windows service is currently running.

Note:This software is available as a pre-release.

use chilkat();

$service = new chilkat::CkService();

$service->put_ServiceName("MyService");

#  returns -1 for failure (inability to check)
#  returns 1 if running.
#  returns 0 if not running.

$retval = $service->IsRunning();
if ($retval < 0) {
    print "Failed to query service control manager" . "\n";
}
else {
    if ($retval == 1) {
        print "Service is running" . "\n";
    }
    else {
        print "Service is not running" . "\n";
    }
