Get Raw Messages Source of an Email (i.e. MIME Source)

The raw message source of an email is obtained by calling the email object's GetMime method.

Chilkat Module for Perl 5.8.*

Chilkat Module for Perl 5.10.*

use chilkat;

$email = new chilkat::CkEmail();

# For demonstration purposes, create an email
# so that GetMime may be called to get the raw MIME source.
# Email objects received from POP3 or IMAP servers behave the same.
$email->put_Subject("This is a test");
$email->put_Body("This is a test");
$email->put_From('support@chilkatsoft.com');
$email->AddTo("Matt",'matt@chilkatsoft.com');

$contentType = $email->addFileAttachment("il1120.pdf");
if ($contentType eq null ) {
    print $email->lastErrorText() . "\r\n";
    exit;
}

# Call GetMime to get the raw message source.

$mimeSource = $email->getMime();

print $mimeSource . "\r\n";
