Create a Password Protected Zip Archive

Download Chilkat Zip ActiveX (includes objects for .zip, .gz, .bz2, and .Z)

This example shows how to create a password-protected Zip compression archive.

zip = CreateObject('Chilkat.Zip2')
zip.UnlockComponent('anything for 30-day trial')        

* Create a new Zip and append files and directories recursively.
zip.NewZip("myZip.zip")
zip.AppendFiles("./Tree/*",1)

* Set the options to Zip with standard Zip password protection.
* This is the same password protection used by programs
* such as WinZip.
zip.PasswordProtect = 1
zip.SetPassword("myPassword")

zip.WriteZipAndClose

RELEASE zip

RETURN .T.
