C# XMP example program showing how to fetch the value of a date/time property from an XMP embedded within a JPG.

Chilkat.Xmp xmp = new Chilkat.Xmp();
xmp.UnlockComponent("anything for 30-day trial");

// Open a JPEG containing XMP metadata.
// TIFF files are also supported.
xmp.LoadAppFile("IndependantPhotographer-Example.jpg");
		
Chilkat.Xml xml = xmp.GetEmbedded(0);
