Download and Install Chilkat .NET

The Chilkat .NET Components are distributed in one install package. Before proceeding, download and install Chilkat .NET.

Download: Chilkat .NET Assemblies

If you select the defaults during installation, the Chilkat .NET DLL will be installed into:

(.NET 1.0/1.1 Framework) - C:\Program Files\Chilkat Software Inc\Chilkat.Net

(.NET 2.0/3.5 Framework) - C:\Program Files\Chilkat Software Inc\Chilkat.Net-v2.0-Framework

The Chilkat .NET classes are contained in a single DLL located in the install directory:

(.NET 1.0/1.1 Framework) - ChilkatDotNet.dll

(.NET 2.0/3.5 Framework) - ChilkatDotNet2.dll

The installer does not create any Program Menu items, nor does it create any desktop icons. To use the Chilkat .NET components, you will create a new C# project and add a reference to ChilkatDotNet.dll (or ChilkatDotNet2.dll). This is explained in the next step.
